You have the power to create health and well-being in your life.
It only takes one small step to begin your journey to Whole Health.

What is Whole Health?
Too often we think of health as only something physical. Whole Health is about creating a sense of health and well-being in all aspects of our lives: Mind, Body, Spirit, and Community. Through small, simple steps in these four areas, anyone can create new practices on their Whole Health journey. It is never too late or too early to start: You are always on time for yourself.
At the heart of TakeCare is a new understanding of health – Whole Health.

Health is more than the absence of disease. It includes the mental, physical, spiritual, and social needs of a person.
Through scientific research, we know that health is rooted in every aspect of our lives: our homes, neighborhoods, communities, workplaces, and schools. It’s in the quality of the air we breathe, the food we eat, the water we drink, the safety of our home, and the relationships we have. These elements, have a tremendous impact on us and we see this impact through the Mind, Body, Spirit, and Community connection.
These are the four areas of our lives that impact Whole Health and they are grounded in science. Hundreds of studies have proven that focusing on these four – individually or simultaneously – will positively impact our quality of life. Here are a few examples of the science behind these four pillars of health:

MIND: Daily meditation not only positively improves your mental health, it reduces physical signs of stress.
BODY: Strong scientific evidence shows that physical activity can help reduce the risk of obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.

SPIRIT: Practicing gratitude has been proven to increase happiness and reduce depression, with one study finding it will physically change your brain for the better.
COMMUNITY: Those who pay attention to their own physical and emotional health are better able to support others.
